Yolanda Ansari, MSW, LSW

My mission is to …

Meet my clients where they are right now. My goal is to connect with you and provide a secure and supportive space where you can feel truly understood and heard. Working together, we’ll strive to achieve their goals and learn new abilities, so you can feel confident and take important steps towards becoming the person you aspire to be and living the life you desire.

Therapy is teaching tools and focusing on solutions.

Throughout our work together you will notice your ability to make critical decisions regarding alternative courses of action, to shift. You can gain skills and obtain tools to become more self-aware, better regulate your emotions, be more motivated, improve your relationship and communication skills, and learn how to set healthy boundaries.

My style of therapy is person-centered, providing a non-judgmental atmosphere led by you as the expert in the discussion. This empowers you to discover your own solutions with me supporting the process of self-discovery.

A productive session is when the client is present.

Showing up is the hardest part, I want you to be yourself! I understand that taking that first step and showing up can be challenging, but I’m here to assure you that you’ve made a great decision to consider beginning our work together. We’ll start by getting to know each other better. As we delve into our conversations, you’ll find that I’m here to support you unconditionally. Any concerns, fears, or questions you may have can be shared openly, without judgment. Together, we’ll work as a team to explore your emotions and the challenges you’re facing, while also acknowledging your strengths and accomplishments. My hope is that you’ll leave with a sense of renewed hope, confidence, and optimism for the future.

I am…

…a self-proclaimed humanitarian committed to providing compassionate support to my family, friends, community, and the world.

Here are my credentials.

I’m a Licensed Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Clark Atlanta University.

In addition to my graduate training, I hold a Bachelor Degree of Social Work. My expertise comes from a combination of academic studies, life experience, and working with numerous individuals during their journey.

I have over 16 years of counseling experience with individual and group settings. Together these have given me a well-rounded perspective that I use to guide clients to a place of growth and healing.

An interesting fact about me is…

I’m a military brat that can adapt to any environment or situation, making friends or acquaintances wherever I go. The oldest of 3 girls as well as a mom of girls. I’ve been told I have an old soul and I value my intuition.

One of my favorite quotes, as it relates to practice, is…

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you make them feel.”
