Diana Washington, LCPC

My Mission …

Is to create a safe-enough and comfortable environment where we can work together. We’ll team up to plan the changes you want to become your best self. Learning how to express your thoughts confidently, especially when facing challenges is foundational to your success and freedom.

Therapy is about learning.

Together we will learn how to build trust and develop your own active, healthy habits for making positive and lasting changes. Together, we’ll explore ways to handle emotional stressors and challenges effectively. Together we can create obtainable personal goals and create a plan to achieve them. Along our journey, we will use coping skills developed  through self-awareness. Let’s embark on this journey of growth and progress together!

Our time will be customized.

In our work, We will explore a range of theraputic styles tailored to meet your needs. These include client and person-centered approaches, self-guided sessions, motivational interviewing, interactive and exploration-based techniques, strength-based methods, and an integrative approach that may include some homework for healing. Using these diverse approaches, we can discover your fullest potential for better mental health. Your well-being will be our  priority, and I am here to support you along the way.

All you need is yourself.

Bringing your true self to our sessions is pivotal to achieve effective change together. However I understand that relationship dynamic is earned and when your ready, Ill be there to meet you.

Investing in your mental health is a valuable step towards positive transformation. Recognizing your strengths and using your voice, you can create meaningful changes in your life.

Here are my credentials.

I am an LCPC. I attended the Illinois Institute of Technology. I have over 20+ years of working in a non profit setting and have been licensed for most of that time.

An interesting fact about me is…

…that I am a Christian without judgment. I’m experienced in seeing a few things and learning how to handle a few waves in life. I am supportive and a good sounding board. I like to have the hard talk for change. I’m open to learning and sharing insights. I enjoy good dialogue about effective change. I like to talk about the good, bad, the ugly to find true resiliency in any situation.

My favorite quote is…

“If you focus on the hurt, you will continue to suffer. If you focus on the lesson, you will continue to grow.”
