Couples Therapy

Background of a couple…

Isaac is the youngest of 6 children and 1 of only 2 males. He describes his dad as there but absent and his mom as inventive, yet aggressive.

Leah is the oldest of 3 children, all females. Leah describes her upbringing as loving and her father as very supportive of her. She really felt her parents had a good connection.

Synopsis of Isaac’s and Leah’s relationship…

They have been together now for 10 years and married for the last 7. Together, they have 3 children, all under the age of 8. Their youngest is just starting to walk.

When asked, “What brings you to therapy?” they both say they want to go back to the way things used to be.

Over time they have started to feel like strangers and through that distance have grown resentful of each other and how life is turning out.

Both Isaac and Leah feel coming to therapy is the last resort. They enter the office with very small hopes that anything can change their relationship.
