We all contain multitudes
Have you ever felt like part of you wanted one thing while another part wanted something completely different? Or noticed that you react in ways that do not feel like the whole you? That is not a sign that something is wrong. It is how the mind works. We are all made up of different parts, each with its own perspective, role, and way of protecting us.
Two approaches, one framework
Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Ego State Therapy are both parts-based modalities that help you understand and work with these inner voices and patterns. IFS sees each part as carrying its own history and good intentions, even when its strategies cause problems. Ego State Therapy explores how different parts develop in response to life experiences, particularly those that were painful or overwhelming. Together, they offer a compassionate framework for understanding inner conflict and building a deeper relationship with yourself.
What parts work can help with
Parts work is particularly effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, self-criticism, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, and the sense of being stuck in patterns you cannot seem to change. When your parts feel understood and no longer have to work so hard to protect you, real healing becomes possible.
